To support our continued growth worldwide, we are expanding our examiner network, and inviting teachers to develop their professional practice by becoming Cambridge examiners.

 

We currently have a new Principal Examiner vacancy for:

Requirements are that applicants will:

 

  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification and have at least 5 years teaching experience
  • Have demonstrable experience and familiarity with teacher professional development in a leadership context
  • Hold a recognised leadership qualification, gained in an educational context
  • Have at least 5 years demonstrable leadership experience in an educational context
  • Have a PC/Mac, reliable broadband, and IT skills
  • Have experience of conducting standardisation meetings
  • Ideally, have experience with the current PDQ syllabus, and/or curriculum development in a leadership context
  • Be available to mark a number of portfolios in each series
  • Have the right supervisory skills to support a diverse and remote team of examiners with their marking
  • Produce a yearly report
  • To mark on these qualifications you will be expected to attend
  1. a standardisation meeting in the UK in April (usually face-to-face although currently online)
  2. a Principal Examiner meeting in June/July (0.5 days online or 1-day face-to-face)
  3. an online standardisation event in October

Cambridge International will cover expenses incurred in the UK.

  • report writing skills
  • the ability to work well under pressure
  • the ability to keep to deadlines
  • training and development skills
  • ideally, some experience of facilitating online courses

 

As an examiner you will be marking a differing number of candidate portfolios to a strict deadline for each exam series, in line with approved marking procedures, and to the required standard. For more information on the role of an examiner please visit our website.
