To support our continued growth worldwide, we are expanding our examiner network, and inviting teachers to develop their professional practice by becoming Cambridge Examiners.


We currently have vacancies for IGCSE Malay as a Foreign Language and IGCSE First Language Malay Examiners.

All applicants will:

• be native speakers of Malay

• have a thorough knowledge of Malay grammar and spelling

• be willing to work in a team and follow direction from the Principal Examiner to ensure marking is of the required standard

• be available to attend an online standardisation meeting and carry out marking online in May-June

• be willing to receive constructive feedback on their work and respond in a positive manner

• have a reliable broadband connection and IT skills


For the IGCSE Malay Foreign Language (0546) role, applicants will:

• have at least 3 years of experience in teaching Malay as a foreign language to a level equivalent to IGCSE


For the IGCSE First Language Malay (0696) role, applicants will:

• have at least 3 years of experience teaching students whose first language is Malay, at an upper secondary level (age 15-18)


Successful applicants will have:

  • a keen eye for detail
  • the ability to work under pressure
  • the ability to keep to deadlines


As an examiner you will be marking a specific number of scripts in line with approved marking instructions and to the required standard. For more information on the role of an examiner please visit our website. There will be payment per script marked.


 All marking and meetings are completed online, from home.

If you are applying from outside the UK and there is requirement to attend training in the UK expenses will only be paid for travel within the UK.
