Cambridge International IGCSE ICT Reviser

To support our continued growth worldwide, we are expanding our assessment specialist network, and inviting teachers to develop their professional practice by becoming a Cambridge Reviser.


We currently have a new vacancy for a Reviser of Paper 1 Theory on IGCSE Information and Communication Technology.
 

The task of a Reviser is vital in ensuring that we meet our aim to produce high quality assessment material on time to candidates taking our examinations.

Your responsibilities as a Reviser for a paper would be to:

  • provide feedback on the accuracy, clarity and quality of the assessment materials created by the Setter, in line with the syllabus and Cambridge International instructions.
  • attend a Question Paper Evaluation Committee (QPEC) meeting. This may be on line or face to face depending on the covid 19 guidelines.
  • check the first proof of the paper produced by the typesetter.
  • scrutinise the mark scheme and the specification sheet, which shows coverage of syllabus content and assessment objectives
  • complete all these tasks by the dates specified and in accordance with our instructions

 

This task involves seeing assessment material before it is available for the learner and you will need to complete a declaration of Conflict of Interest and, if required, Conflict of Interest training.

Applicants who meet the criteria in this advert will be asked to complete a series of tasks. These tasks will check that the applicant is comfortable with the different elements of the task of being a reviser.

Requirements are that applicants will:

  • have a degree in ICT or a related subject
  • have a teaching qualification
  • have at least 3 years’ experience of teaching ICT at IGCSE level.
  • have experience of marking theory questions papers in ICT
  • be based in the UK
  • have a PC/Mac, fast broadband and IT skills 
  • be able and willing to attend a face to face meeting in the UK, Cambridge International will cover expenses incurred in the UK.
