We currently have new setter vacancies for A Level Arabic (Reading and Writing paper)


Requirements are that applicants will:

  • be a native speaker of Arabic
  • have a PC/Mac, fast broadband and IT skills in order to attend online meetings
  • complete the task outlined below and submit it with your application

For the A Level Arabic Reading paper, please set a sample examination text in Arabic of 350-400 words (four paragraphs) on the topic area of Technological Innovation. Write seven comprehension questions on this text.

Ensure the following:
• Language level should be pitched at the right level for test takers
• Special care should be given to gender and cultural sensitivity
• Content is suitable of interest to the age group (16-19 year olds)
• Variety of question types (why, how, etc.)
• You provide a mark scheme with possible acceptable answers and any answers to be rejected.

It is recommended that you look at past papers of 9680/21 (A Level Arabic Reading and Writing) to familiarise yourself with the examination style.
